Tough shot to pull off. You've done it.

Great set up, great play of shadows against the added glow, nice texture on the ground receding to softness beyond. Depth. Intrigue. And a little hand caught for good measure.

Thanks Jeff & Fred!

Fred - I've wondered if a little more than a hand from his little brother showing would've improved the shot.

Probably a very personal taste thing regarding the hand. There's something quirky about it that's appealing. On the other hand (pun intended), this is a fairly soulful and *solitary* shot (also clean . . . organized in terms of line) and the part of his body that interrupts the flow between the pole and the right edge of the frame is almost more disturbing to me. I think, overall, without the bits of the 2nd boy, the shot would be more a total package of the atmosphere and feeling which it captures so well.
