This is a nice shot. I wonder if it isn't allegorical too, with your character wondering along the beach, lost to the world around him only interested in the lost or abandoned belongings of those who have enjoyed the scene he is ignoring. Or am i reading too much in to it?

This photo has a story, like so many I post, and it is entirely allegorical, as you have read. I hope also it has some aesthetics, as well . . . . .

 

It is exactly as you see and read it.

 

Lost to the world, looking for wealth in the world's detritus.

 

A sort of garbageman looking for 'wealth' among mankind's lost things; a sort of opportunist . . . . forever dreaming of finding a Rolex or some such, I am sure.

 

Perhaps he read an ad in a comic book as a child???
