Stroll down the walkway at California's famed beach meeting place,

Venice Beach, and next to the main walkway is Muscle Beach gym and

workout center. This is one of the men who work out there, flexing his

muscles to demonstrate his achievement. Major manufacturers donate

the equipment to this facility, south of the original 'Muscle Beach' in

Santa Monica, frequented I understand by California's present governor

before he made movie, then political fame. Your ratings and critiques

are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly, very critically, or just

wish to make a remark, please submit a helpful and constructive

comment; please share your photographic knowledge to help improve

my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

I feel, inclusion of a little more space above his head would have been better.

Susmit.

In retrospect, I agree, however, the reason this could be posted is that not only do I frequently cut off tops of heads, but he also is very dark haired (he's Egyptian), and although he 'crowds' the top of the frame, the 'lightness' of the photo is properly centered, and the background is very 'mellow' with good bokeh.

I saw him yesterday (yes, the same guy) and have tons of photos of him in similar poses (taken within 12 hours after posting this, but with a bad background . . . and couldn't make him realize this, and since I'm not paying, and a young woman was involved (with a camera/point and shoot) it was not my place to make 'suggestions' about 'stand here' as just taking a distance shot of him is something to be grateful for (nice guy -- if you're at Muscle Beach, look for him/he also seems to have his own gym/fitness center now).

Susmit, it is a very good observation . . . . not the best positioning, I feel, but not fatal by a good stretch.

After all, those who come to look at his muscles aren't going to click on it to see his 'brains'. ;~))

I found that out after my last two muscleman photo posts.

Beefcake has its admirers too, and it can show up in high views -- it has surprised me.

Best to you, Susmit.
