This man may be on a business call . . . or maybe not . . . and

maybe . . . just maybe . . . .his thoughts are elsewhere, as depicted

above . . . . Your ratings and critiques are invited and most welcome.

If you rate harshly or very critically or wish to make a remark, please

submit a helpful and constructive comment; please share your

photographic knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks!

Enjoy! John

Of course, this is not a 'catch' per se.

I 'make' these things work the way they do.

It's all positioning, and sometimes waiting while the subject wanders a little, and then just being patient.

You just have to have some sort of an idea that somethign interesting will be found in the frame and so often it will!

I had several ideas, but liked this one the best.

Glad you like it too.

Spike heel in the cranium/double-edged sword I guess, if one is fantasizing about women.

Ain't that the way of life?

Thanks Arond.

Notice the lines/triangles, etc?

They're interesting . . . I think. For a 'static' photo, it's far less 'static' in its 'look' than one would expect because of those lines, which draw the eye around the frame (at least my semi-practiced eye). ;~))

The picture is a proof how positioning makes a relatively simple photo more meaningful.Nice capture.

First you must recognize the potential -- to 'previsualize' that there's something there to capture along these lines, even if you don't know precisely what.

Then wait, wait wait, and maybe wait some more.

Maybe also move closer, farther, left or right and all the while, as he talks, he moves, zooming sometimes, focusing and re-focusing, sometimes using a focus point and other times switching to 'nearest object' focus, as he moves maybe in circles or maybe gestures or turns away, and then in one magic moment all the waiting pays off.

Capture accomplished.

What does this mean?

Make your own conclusion, of course, as it is not necessarily my place to put 'meaning' on such a photo, just to make a photo that is interesting and maybe suggestive or one or more than one interpretation and interesting enough that people may want to try.

Susmit, thanks for stopping by and commenting. You're always welcome (and appreciated) here.

This is one of those photos one just 'has' to take, but the meaning . . . . well . . . that's open to debate, if it has any meaning at all.

The superiority of women . . . women in boots . . . . subjegating men, former oppressors . . . one can read a lot into this photo, which is why I took it, but frankly I haven't a fixed idea; it's all in your mind how you choose to interpret it, if you do so at all.

Some photos just beg to be taken, then analyzed at a later date; some are wanting on that analysis; others excel.   It's a matter of individuality in the viewer.  I think you discern my views; I'm not in love with every photo I post for critique, as I am sure you well know.

Thanks for the heads up and reminding me about this now older photo.   I was traveling then had bronchitis, so my reply was tardy; I apologize.
