This looks to me like a scene out of "Jurassic Park". The jungle is thick and rich with flowering trees covered in long vines. The sky adds to that impression. Much of that movie was actually filmed not far from this area. One might get the feeling that I was deep in the rain forest, having hiked miles upon miles. This is the view one gets along the Pali highway going from Waikiki and Honolulu over the mountains into the Leeward side of Oahu. I was only a few steps from the car at a pullout. The only breeze that was stirring was from the rush hour traffic behind me. No doubt there are many other primeval scenes like this that are at the end of miles of trail. If your not into hiking, however, this spot will provide you with that perspective! I hope you enjoy the Larger preview.

I agree, the rich lush vegetation and the total absence of any human activity or influence is reminiscent of a scene from "Jurassic park" I particularly like the lighting on the detailed foreground, but every inch a beauty, and topped by that fantastic sky.

Very nice work Mark!

Beautiful jungle image. The gradual color shift from foreground to background really adds to the sense of depth.

Fabulous - love those rich greens and the clarity of the image. Well done - lets see if I can rate this 7/6. PN won't let me so it is a 6/6 - Hope I remember to come back in two weeks to update it.
