Yves Petronin 42 Posted February 28, 2010 I like this one very much, The plain background adds a lot of power. I have tried also a slightly toned version (similar to argentic gold tone) and it is very nice as well. The tonality tames the contrast a bit, while the gold tones int he hair definitely evoke the italian graceful figures of the paintings.... May I ask some details about the lighting equipment? . I assume a softbox was used. I am curious about the size, as I have never been close to get this type of quality, in spite of the fact I have a huge softbox..... Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted February 28, 2010 Yves, I used two Profoto strobes. One close to the model and low with a 41 inch Profoto translucent umbrella (as a reflector) and the other high about 2 times the distance with Profoto 41 inch white umbrella. The room was very large (about 1000 sq ft) with high ceiling so the bounce light was lost. The enclosed picture can give you an impression on how large the room was. It shows only about ½ of it and the door in the back is about 2 meters high (about 78 inches). frescoes on the walls are about 500 years old. Link to comment
Yves Petronin 42 Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for all details. The picture of the settings and the lighting equipment is a real bonus. This demonstrates that a photographer and a model with a reel talent can produce outstanding pictures without a lot of fancy equipment, that I thought was mandatory.....A common mistake.
