Painted Bunting

I disagree with the advice you have given here also Michael. For bird photography the best metering is usually spot and if he exposed for the brightest part of this image being the bright sky it would make our little Bunting here a silhouette, why does he have to use manual mode all the time?

Sorry for that Marvin, I know how difficult bird shots are. You have done a good job considering the foilage around him and that bright light. Have just got a 50D myself, how do you find it with the 100-400 lens? My only criticism is that your border has some chromatic abberation/purple fringin, (thats a joke! good shot!)
