Yves Petronin 42 Posted February 27, 2010 Magnificent light and colors. Reminding of classic paintings by the Dutch masters...I would tend to think that cropping the right side would enhance the picture. I do not find the square format ideal in this case, perhaps because one tend to follow the years of the model. Also the large dark area on the right side does not bring much, and is almost distracting, because of the patterns... Link to comment

william_staniforth 0 Posted February 28, 2010 You just can't go wrong with this beautiful young lady , now can you ? The lighting is marvelous ( I hadn't noticed the dimple before ) . I love her expression ! I'm inclined to agree about the crop though . Regards , Bill Link to comment
Yves Petronin 42 Posted February 28, 2010 I have finally realized that not only the atmosphere of the picture evokes the great Dutch painters, but also Boticelli and the Italian painters.... Has to do with the model and the hair....For some reason, the picture appears just now elongated on my screen, the face is longer and thinner, and I am now reminded of Modigliani !.... A comprehensive lesson of classic art history.... Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted February 28, 2010 Yves, There is clearly something wrong with photo.net. I replaced the old picture with the new one and the only thing that happened is that the aspect ration was changed and not the picture. It will clear in a few days. Link to comment
Yves Petronin 42 Posted February 28, 2010 I have been struggling also with frustrating attempts to change pictures. A useful tip is to clear the browsers's cache, and perhaps more importantly, to rename the file before uploading a file again at the same place... Link to comment
