Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted February 22, 2010 I'm starting to get the hang of the 1D Mk. II. Personally, though, I know this is almost sacrilegeous, but there are times when Iwished I had my old 20D, with its almost sinful ease of operation. I find myself just about always using the 1D in manual mode, guessing exposure as if I still had my Nikon EM, and always wondering if I have the right ISO at the spur of the moment. But, there is no denying that when the stars align, there are very few cameras capable of the heavy lifting this beast does so effortlessly. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted February 23, 2010 Emmanuel, this landscape is so dramatic. I really like the dark sepia. Wonderful work. Link to comment
hbkotze 0 Posted February 23, 2010 Great shot and image. Figurine on the right could maybe have been positioned in the gap between the rocks to "half frame" and expose the feet. Well done. H Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted February 23, 2010 The "figurine" on the right is my 3 year old son, busy throwing pebbles into the sea. I couldn't "position" him from where I was, but thanks for taking the time to comment. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 23, 2010 A good photographer + a good picture = a good picture (sometimes. But definitely this time.) What a wonderful range of tones your new camera has. Link to comment
knobby6 1 Posted February 23, 2010 Good use of light and shadows. Good idea having your son in a landscape and as usual great narrative. Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted February 25, 2010 Scenery, tones, atmosphere all ok. But your son and the second person in movement makes this a lively seascape. Most importantly: here happens something...! Compliments Emmanuel! Link to comment
sheryl_w__blue_mt._ 0 Posted February 27, 2010 the image pulls me down the path to the seashore and out... great... love the toning, too ;-) Link to comment
