This is indeed a wonderful composition and very powerful image. I like the simplicity and the symbolism. For my taste though i would have liked to bring out more of the texture in the hand and more contrast (see my suggestion although i dont claim it is better just a different take on the theme). Thanks Michel, yes you are right more contrast probably little bit less than you suggested. I think the problem are the two areas with highlight, which should get more texture, but I am not an expert on PS
