Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 23, 2010 This is really a good photo, the kind that grows on you the more you view it. It is balanced in every respect, beginning with the spread pose of the dancer and proceeding through the entire composition of the piece, the elegant tones and the understated color with that slash of red across the shoulders serving as a fortuitous color accent. A superb evocation of the spirit of of modern dance. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted February 27, 2010 I read the evaluation and saw the photos , but I meant to see your personal photographed impression. When I see a dance or follow it, I photo my interpretation. Usually it is my feeling not necessarily what the choreographer thought about his dance, though It looks an interesting concept. Anyway, thanks for your link. Link to comment

3m 0 Posted March 1, 2010 Hi Pnina, I would like to add my compliments to your above photo, which I particularly like very much because of the beautiful & elegant pose of the dancer. The delicate grey & red color scheme of the dancer's outfit seems so very nicely balanced against the black of the bg & the light grey of the stage floor. Also, I love the composition with the dancer featured off-center, and the dash of red in the R bg... Compliments, Pnina! -- I really like it a lot! Kind regards, Marjolein Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 2, 2010 Jorg for all you comments and feedback. Gail, I appreciate your feedback, working some years with dance groups, is a good experience for stage photography Marjolein, thanks for your warm and wide written impression. This is an interesting choreography, created by a skilled artist ( Y. Karmi).I'm not sure his concept is what I felt seeing this dance, but I interpreted it by my own feelings.I liked as well the elements that were added to the dancers ,like the costumes, masks and lights on stage.
