dennismk 0 Posted October 18, 2002 I try to catch the feeling of a place for me, so I like lots of grain and dark area's to counter point the the light and for the landscape to express its own type of power. Link to comment
tomasz_czajkowski 0 Posted October 19, 2002 I like the warm colours of Your picture and atmospheric sky. Dark parts of foreground gives depth of field. Good shot. Link to comment

Palouse 6 Posted October 20, 2002 MOOD, mood , mood! A great example of how a dark picture can work with a few splashes of dramatic light! Link to comment
mg 0 Posted November 2, 2002 The picture looks good, but honestly the scan and / or compression really spoils the enjyment of it... What's going on ? Your scans used to be better than that by far... Any problem ? Cheers. Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted November 3, 2002 You have been posting some nice stuff lately, but then you always have! About this image and a few others I have been posting lately like the "Wave". This image was really blown up from a 35mm. I am experimenting with more grain in an image making it more impressionistic. The image of mine called "Outside the Bay" Blows up to a great pan of about 11x38" and the dots on the print adds a great deal to it for me. Does not show up as well on the net. But is rather stunning framed up. This Image above does not print as well, so if I ever feel like it I might stich together the same basic scene with larger slides and see what I can come up with. As the image is. Its more an experiment in light, sky and mood. Which when printed small is not to bad. But large? I don't think so. Thanks for your comment and I hope all is well with you.
