I like the picture (lines, compostion, viewpoint)...

 

 

... however to me it could use a little more punch / contrast.

 

I tried to give an example but I blew out the sky. Oh well, I hope you see what I mean. (And if not: sorry about the failed attempt.)

Composition-wise, I like it. At first glance, I thought the tree is distracting but upon staring at it longer, it actually adds interest in the photo. I agree with the suggestion above, adding contrast and perhaps, boosting it sharpness will make the texture pop out more.

There is alot to like about this image, Timothy.  I like the use of B&W to help set the mood.  I also like the effect of the tree and the composition.  the snow forms a very nice inverted "V" which act as leading lines.

I would recommend sharpening the image a bit.  As suggested, contrast would help but I would try to keep the sky from becoming too white.  If it was mine I would also clone out the white sign on the door.  Just my opinion.
