This church isn't that old, but I liked the stonework and the shapes of

the bell towers. It also attracted me because it didn't have telephones

wires, gaudy notices, cars or any of the usual clutter that spoils the

view on a lot of churches these days. Your thoughts and comments are

always very welcome

Excellent pp treatment on this beautiful church. The details and colors really pop out of the frame. I agree with you, this is a clean shot...nothing to distract eyes from the architecture and setting.

I guess they didnt know where you could find some socks.... ;)

All the best my friend, Pamela

Yes, excellent architecture shot! Caused an appealing impression to me and looked at it for several minutes... Question: Is it HDR?

A most striking image.......and delightful architecture. I was wondering if it is an HDR image too. Very nice effect. If you like this type of photography you may want to check out PTLens. It's an inexpensive software that will help you correct your verticals, perspective, vignetting, etc. You can also do those things in Photoshop if you have it. Nicely done, Alf.

Thank you, yes it is a HDR image, but blended with a traditional image in photoshop, I also used the gradient tool to accentuate the grey sky.

Thank you for your kind comments and for the information about PTLens, I really appreciate it!

I did use a certain amount of perspective correction in photoshop, although I must confess that I am not truly proficient at this technique as yet, and don't normally use it, however because I didn't have my tripod with me, I had to use a nearby bench as a stable surface for the camera in order to bracket the shots, and this being at a low level caused me to tilt the camera upwards resulting in a bit more distortion than I would normally expect. Thanks again Drew!

TONY

Thanks for looking in Tony, the original sky wasn't very appealing, you know how it is when there is very little definition and just that white haze, well thats how it was, so I experimented a bit with the gradient tool in photoshop and it kinda worked out ok.

There is almost a postcard quality to the church in this shot. The sky or background seems very dark and gloomy. For me it distracts, but that may be your intention. Interesting color tones in the brick and stone. Hope this finds you well and shooting like crazy. - Charles

Jumps off the page in HDR. Colors just explode... Great contrast MJ
