I like the image, overall, but so much dark area on the left seems distracting. I tried cropping the dark area out but it changed the feeling of the image so much that it became a different photograph. Did you consider lightening up the dark parts just a bit? Richard

I also tried to change the darkness, but it changed the mood and spirit of the image so I left it as is. Thanks for your thoughts.

Deb... Nice nostalgic feel and an old song by Roy Clark came to mind....

"Yesterday when I was young
The taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongue.
I teased at life as if it were a foolish game,
The way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame.
The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned
I'd always built to last on weak and shifting sand.
I lived by night and shunned the naked light of the day
And only now I see how the years ran away.

Good shot... Mike

Thanks so much for your thoughts on this image. We must be near the same age as I remember Roy Clark...

In fact I can hear the melody in my head and it takes me back to my younger days. Thanks for sharing your words and taking me on that little journey!
