I'm still learning my new camera and having a ball! I was working with a

strong back light (sun coming through a window) and my close up filter

set. I'm actually pretty pleased with this shot. Thoughts and comments

would be appreciated!

The backlighting is ok, but the shadowing isn't effective IMHO. I would suggest a reflector myself, you can make one with crumpled aluminum stapled to cardboard or get a fold up one.

 

Also the twist ties in the background are a major distraction.

I appreciate your comments. Truthfully, I hadn't noticed the twist ties - but you're right- now they are all I see!

 

I was more interested in trying the close up filters so wasn't very concerned about the shadows, but I love your idea for a reflector. Next time we have a sunny day, I'll try it.
