Birte... A very poignant image with the incongruous "Kids Fashion". Needless to say, the technical aspects are perfect and the message is properly disturbing... Excellent... Mike

I walked through the cardboards and metal scrap houses of Bombay when I was 18 and I did not dare take pictures. When I did, it's because the people forced me to...they would line up for a pose and then ask me for money which I obliged but then I had to walk briskly because a huge crowd would start following. Your pictures remind me of those places. They are good because they bear witness to the life of billions of humans today on earth. This condition should be absolutely revolting and unacceptable to the privileged (us) but instead we just stare in a powerless state. I think that what matters is not to forget and always remember to act when the time comes to do something against injustice, wherever it pops its ugly face, not to be coward or inconsiderate...It's called empathy and it's what makes us humans. The problems of India and Africa are of gigantic inhuman proportions and can't be solved overnight, if ever. In our own neighborhoods are kids just like that too, even if they are dressed and look well fed, they can use our compassion and help too.
