Tiffany, this photo so jumped out at me!!! SWEET!!! I love the motion, the treatment, the double shadows, the cape contrasted with the boots, as if Little red had such a pair!! LOVE IT!!! It is a feast for the eyes and the mind! Exceptional!! Cheers! Doug.

Doug...Thank you! I am delighted that this one spoke to you. I felt more like a producer than a photographer. I worked really hard at getting the components of the story together. And when the day finally arrived, I had to sit back and let it happen...with myself as an observer. I am sure that you can relate (>8

I don't know how I missed this series...maybe because I haven't been on p.net as much as I used to be.

I can't tell you how much I love this photograph.  Everything...composition, light, shadows, treatment...comes together for me here.

You've taken an old tale and given it a new twist.  The viewer now sees the wolf as a benign being, even though in this photo, he seems to have a sly and slightly devilish expression on his face.  Personally, I see that expression as a smile.  And even though he is physically flawed, he is not handicapped by that flaw...he is still perfect in form, function, and character.

If you have time, please tell me about Pao, and how he lost his leg.

<chuckle> This made me smile from ear to ear!  Well executed shot, and I love that tongue.  Must be thinking of how tasty RRH will be...

Jim...I'm so glad that you enjoy the image and the series. It is near and dear to my heart. I am a big advocate of wolf conservation. I am constantly trying to educate people about these amazing animals, so that the persecution of wolves can stop.

In answer to your question, Pao is a she wolf. According to her human, she was hit by a train when she was quite young. That is how she lost her leg. A miracle that she is with us today.

She is an amazing animal that I feel very blessed to know.

Jerry...Glad you got a smile. Interpret the picture however you want, but as you can tell from the attached photo, Pao just likes to give kisses.
