Karl Schuler 48 Posted February 7, 2010 It was cold today after the snow storm and there was still a lot of snow dust in the air. Suddenly we discovered multiple huge circles on the sky. With two 17 mm wide angle shots I was able to catch at least part of the amazing phenomenon. Thanks for your feedback and rating. Karl Link to comment

vikingman 0 Posted February 8, 2010 Hi Karl - great shot of this amazing phenomenon. I have tried a number of times to capture sundogs, but not had a lens wide enough to do it justice. Next time i will try and put two together as you have done. I like the way you have composed the shot with the shadow of the figures cast in an opposing downward arc. Regards, erik Link to comment

judith_howcroft 0 Posted February 8, 2010 Great photo, with perhaps rare arcs. I recently photographed something like this but got a different perspective. The humans and shadows work for a good composition. Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted February 9, 2010 Judith, your photo shows part of the phenomenon which follows always the same patterns. My photo shows also only part of the whole spectacle. The following link shows all of it.Karlhttp://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2002/24oct_sunrings.htm Link to comment
