A winter storm #2

This is the Orco river in the Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy. I

took this picture in a late afternoon, while it was snowing. This is a

stitch of 4 vertical frames, for a full size image of about 35 Mp. Be

sure to see the larger size, compression really hurts in images like

this.

A delightful winter landscape....the foreground is most compelling...with very good care taken to detail....love how the snow is 3D in appearance....wonderful detail even in the rocks that are scattered in the very low water level. Great depth of field....with continued excellent detail in th trees. A very striking image....your Portfolio is one that I wish I'd stumbled upon much sooner.

I was once in the mountains during a blizzard in Northern Italy.....while on our way to Rome (my first job)..one moment the roads were clear.....and it seemed within an instant...........white-outs......I shall never forget that experience....the roads were treacherous.....yet I'm glad to have had the opportunity to visit your beautiful country......very nice work....sincerely, Gail
