I dont' know if she is supposed to be an 'evil' figure....I must read up about her...but she seems to have a sinsiter look about her....and is the fox sacrificed???? like I said...I should read up on your description of this 'character'.....

If she is 'rather evil'....then well done.......she is portrayed very well.....sincerely, Gail

Hello!

Kaereitaer (Käreitär in Finnish) is a figure from the Finnish mythology, not a fantasy of me. There are stories, poems concerning the birth of all the animals from the old times. They tell about the Mothers ( called Emuu in Finnish) of almost every species and how they created and gave birth to animals of their own. As Finns of today we (me and Anne) have taken the priviledge to create the physical figures for those Emuus. According to Anne´s poem Käreitär shaped the bones of a fox from her own pelvis and made the fur of the downy cotton grass, threw them to Fire and the Race of Red Fox was born. If you want to see more about issue, please visit our website www.cra-company.com, there is available a video in English about Käreitär. In the picture we used a skin and a skull of a fox (worked by Anne). There is more information about Käreitär at Finnish wiki, you can read it in English if you have a translation program.

Thank you all! Best wishes Anne & Ilkka
