Hi Tim, Like how your unsharp & the abstract feeling of your image represents all the elements of a typical farm yard. the dark barn, swirling snow & the bare trees leaning in the direction of the prevailing winds.. This could be any farm on a cold winter day.Well done.best wishes -Ross

Took my 8yr old boy with me. He's starting to take an interest in photography. We stood off the side of the road and the wind was just gusting, single digit wind chills. His first photo experience was a harsh one!

You are getting your son off to a good start with this comp. Excellent use of dead space in the foreground and the placement of the subject is perfect. The wind looks so strong that I would be expecting that barn to become a pile of sticks any minute!

It has a classic feel to it! I like very much the soft feel to the image. Nice compostion too..Just a question...I think I saw that you added a new image for this date but don't know where to look here for it?

Mark, thanks. He was pretty excited to go along. I might have to get him his own camera though.......I get really nervous seeing mine in his little hands. So afraid he's going to drop it. :)

 

Amey, I had another shot up here but took it down. I've been having issues getting consistent results between photoshop and the internet. Photo's appear much darker online than I want them too so I wanted to tweak that other shot a bit.

I love the way you captured this barn amidst the snow storm, beautiful work. Hope all is well. Take care

I think this is a wonderfull photo Tim and one that immediately reminded me of so many 17th century Dutch landscape paintings. Would I have made this I would be very proud to render such a beautiful b&w from it. Great stuff Tim. Really.
