tommiller 1 Posted January 31, 2010 It's a great action shot, with a couple of great faces, and it clearly looks as if #1 is threading the needle precisely between the two nearest defenders. The focus is tack sharp, too. I'm curious what sort of lens you used. I shot sports for a student newspaper many years ago, with f/ 2 and 2.8 lenses, but now I use zoom lenses with smaller apertures, and I'm not having much success with indoor sports shots. Have you considered a tighter cropping that would emphasize only the three front-row players? Regards, Tom Link to comment
isa 1 Posted January 31, 2010 should be sure better with a tighter cropping, but i'm shooting with only prime lenses here and specifically Canon L 135 /f 2,O USM (you may see on PHOTODO the parameters) and cropping more would enlarge the frame more of the aperture in "pixel real", with whole degradation of image . Thankyou for your comment and best to you and your photoghraphy.(i have seen and appreciated your sport shoots with students (i believe...) ). Link to comment
