Sometimes the subject may 'fill the frame' with tight cropping, and other

times it may be more appropriate to show merely the smallest, most

interesting part of a subject, and let the viewers' eyes do a little work.

Here a transcontinental airline passenger does some serious sleeping,

mouth wide open, and (in the vernacular) is said by some to

be 'catching flies'. In the US, some call it 'Bagging Z's' - so named

because cartoonists represent sleep with a string of ZZZZZ's within

a 'speech or thought balloon' (the bag) -- hence 'Bagging Z's). Your

ratings, critiques, and observations are invited and most welcome. If

you rate harshly, very critically, or wish to make an observation, please

submit a helpful and constructive comment; please share your

photographic knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks!

Enjoy! John

When I was young and hunting for 'great' photos, I found them, but rarely.

Today I 'see' greatness or 'near greatness' on a regular basis, having given up photography for decades, but somehow never having abandoned my photographer's eye, even though having given up photography mostly in the very long interim.

I see something interesting, then I just 'HAVE' to try to record it, conventions of photography be damned.

Thanks Vladimir for the recognition.

For me this was a 'vanity photo' meant to satisfy only me and never really intended for posting, but on review it was so strong 'for me' I decided to share, and am somewhat surprised by high ratings so far.

Reactions on the plane ranged froms disregard, to smirks (shared amusement) to outrage. The usual for 'street'.

You can't always win, but you can take a 'winner' whether or not this is it, and certainly like a Barnum you can't please all the people all of the time on the street, but then they can't see or 'understand' what you are doing and often confuse what you are doing with what paparazzi to do and with people like Britney Spears and others who are hounded by Paparazzi (and who also entice them).

You also take some great street photos, Vladimir . . . . . and your best are amazingly strong . . . . . as you know.
