lizweisiger 0 Posted January 28, 2010 Tim, after looking at your splendid snow pictures, this one almost seems like there is snow there too. I like the contrast of the whiteness and the starkness of the reeds. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 28, 2010 Thank you both so much, you are very generous with your comments! Liz, your assumptions are correct, this is snow and not sand. A sunrise in the background, this was taken on a very cold February morning. Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted January 28, 2010 Tim, this is wonderful! Your composition, your tonal quality and the feel is one of quiet isolation. I love the detail of the tracks! NICE WORK!!! Regards, Doug. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 28, 2010 Tim... This is good stuff! Beach, reeds, rabbit tracks and this technique is quite unique with realism mixed with an ethereal feel. Excellent... (I would clone out the plastic bottle there on the left)... Mike Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 28, 2010 Wow, good eye! You know I've had this photo since 2007 and always thought that might have been a shoe print or something. You are right, it absolutely is a bottle. I'll get that out of there, thanks. Link to comment
sidselto 0 Posted January 28, 2010 Love those black&white photos of yours. A winterscene like this might as well be shot in Norway. Have to go out and look for it. Very good. Sidsel Link to comment

johnroberts 0 Posted January 29, 2010 I love these landscape images where the plants take pride of place in the frame. I think the reeds, the snowy conditions and sun trying to come through create a great winter scene. John Link to comment
llgarcia 1 Posted January 29, 2010 To some, these are just group of grass lying around but you turned them into a piece of photographic art. So beautifully composed and rendered. Best regards! Link to comment
jeremy jackson 0 Posted January 29, 2010 This kind of image is the reason I joined Photo.net. I would never have seen this. It's people like you Tim, that teach us to look more carefully. I'm learning. Thank you for this. Cheers, JJ Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 29, 2010 John - Thanks so much! Lester - Thanks! Jeremy - I take tremendous pride in doing just that, so thank you! Remind people of the beautiful things all around them that they take for granted everyday. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 30, 2010 Wonderful photograph. I especially like the dark tone of the cattails in contrast to the sand and the sky. This has such a natural feel to it, perfectly capturing the essence of the upper beach. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted January 30, 2010 Boy, I love the toning you've captured. Unbelievably beautiful. You've captured the glare of winter perfectly. Outta the ballpark, dude. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted January 31, 2010 A beautiful fight of survival vs. the cold and windy atmospher. I feel the wind diagonally bending the reeds, the life passing by ,leaving traces , maybe looking for a shelter...It is a very nice winter scene. The light, snow and B/W execution are fitting the season perfectly.
