timzeipekis 5 Posted January 27, 2010 It's like white and green paint being poured together. The soft focus and tones are done really well. Link to comment

leo burkey 0 Posted January 28, 2010 This century plant in is in my neighbor's yard that I pass everyday when I walk my dogs. On this particular day there was a lot of new growth that caught my eye. After our walk I grabbed my camera and tripod and went to photograph this beauty. The white leaves here were actually a very pale yellow and in my initial processing in Lightroom that yellow shifted to a pale blue. In fact that is how I first presented this image in my portfolio. In this remake, I pulled most of the blue out and soften the whole image with some Gaussian Blur and further used the blur to de-emphasize some background details .I used a curves layer to further extend the tonal range to include a good black and white point. I am very happy with the way this turned out.Your comments are welcome. Link to comment
dloringphotos 0 Posted January 29, 2010 Leo - marvelous. Almost like a sculpture. I appreciate your honestly and explanation of the steps you used to create this shot. There is a real sense of tranquility in this shot - with the soft color palette contrasted against the sharp lines and blurred edges. I've stared at this image for a long time. Well done! ndj 0 Posted January 29, 2010 Superb image Leo. This combination is not one that you see often in nature. The softness, and the abstract nature, of the image make it altogether more interesting. Well scene, and processed. All the best,Neil Link to comment
