3m 0 Posted January 26, 2010 A very aesthetically pleasing ( and beautifully colored;-) photo, Andrea! Although so horizontally stretched, the fact that the dog and dog owner obviously belong to each other, and are (again) in the most perfectly balanced spots possible of your photo (& with the red ^ in the middle), it has a perfect symmetrical unity to it's overall (& very original) composition, imo. ( = Isola Tiberina? ) Link to comment
andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted January 26, 2010 ciao, mar. for me, a photo without a reasonable reason, but is a moment in my personal battle with colours... thanks! Link to comment
magdalenacampomenosi 0 Posted January 26, 2010 Ciao, eccomi qui. Formato ed inquadratura originali, per me questa é una foto di paesaggio che tende ad essere un quadro astratto. Il punto in rosso é il tocco da maestro. Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted January 26, 2010 Nicely balanced with dog and owner. This is a very intersting and well done image indeed. I have an interest, what is the red thing on the top (middle). There is a 3D effect with this detail and I was ready to clean my screen:). Regards. Link to comment
andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted January 26, 2010 ciao gunnar. the red object is a bag of plastic. there is a main street upper, and everybody let things fall to the river. but there are brunches, metal pieces, so happens they stay there. I used a nikon filter, called viveza 2, just to try. normally i dont like this kind of filters. ciao, thanks! marjolein, citoienne honoraire de rome. yes, isola tiberina! Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted January 26, 2010 An unusual crop and a beautiful one too. There is a story to it, and the lines in the foreground and the wall add to the drama. I am not very sure, but perhaps the red distracts just a bit. Best wishes. Link to comment
jrickert 0 Posted January 26, 2010 I know that the red bag is distracting, but there is much more to this photo than that. The bag is a triangle of sorts, the 3 objects make a triangle, and the color in the invisible triangle formed by the bag, dog and man is brown on the rock wall compared to the rest of it. (sort of). I like it a lot. Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted January 27, 2010 The red bag is not distracting to me, vice versa, this is an attractive detail and adds a lot to the picture. Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted January 27, 2010 Your rare efforts on color photos must be supported (by a comment), I think. That red bag is the icing of the cake and to my eyes the pyramic is defined by it and the two white lines on the ground. Good point is that the bag is above the center line. The lovely change on the color of the wall, from cold to warm and to cold again seem to take place where the edges of the imaginary pyramid runs towards the red top. I let the dog and the man be outside the pyramid ;-) Would you kindly help me to place this scene on map of Rome then I could look the satellite photo on maps.google.com to see how central place this is. I think all the plants next to the waterline. Andrea, is the long walks along the river looking like this, peacefull area, away from the cars... Link to comment
