josh1 0 Posted October 12, 2002 the presence of the girl confuses me. what exactly is she doing there? she looks out of place to me. definitely does not look like one of the workers. is that a bathrobe or pajamas that she's wearing? maybe you were shooting for this type of contrast. what exactly is she going to do to that equipment with a sledge hammer? at least give her some wrenches and smear some black grease on her face -- ha ha. ptucci 0 Posted January 9, 2003 Where is that boiler? I see some macro potential there. I understand why you want to add the human touch. She does look a little too clean cut for the setting. Maybe a wisened old man with an oil can? Link to comment
daniel_frisk 0 Posted September 4, 2003 I love this picture. Yes, the image looks staged but it only adds to the image quality. I think this image has the estetics of old Soviet communist propaganda in those days where men and women were equal at work and the best place to be was in a factory (according to the government). If the old bolsjeviks had made a pinup calendar this would have been the cover page. I´d like to add that I do not support dictatorship as a political system though I believe that some of the art made for propaganda reasons in the old USSR was very estetic. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted September 26, 2003 Tovarich! Comrades would have lauded you and given you medals! Great camera equipment would have been furnished to you, a good apartment...Anyway, this picture is not only good, there's an underlying tone of humor in it. Congratulations!! Link to comment
