Dynamic Congratulations on putting together another great image. This image gives a much more dynamic feeling than the ones we are used to seeing. I suppose it is the product of the meeting of the two minds and of course the artistic expression of the model. Nicely done one and all.
Ops! That's a "turn on the screw", I mean, a new direction of your traditional style, never the less still being unmistakable traces of your signature, and I should recognize that I like too much this formidable exercise of aesthetics and motion. Very good post production managing, mainly the lightning effects.
good shoot and nice editing. Ant
Only a word:...FANTASTIC! 7/7!
love it hope you do more like that ;)
John, this is a differnt style from the work you used to upload here. This is exceptional. It really stands out. Great composition and tones. I would love to see more. Congrats.
John. Very original, excellent as always. Alberto
Wonderful Fine Art work!! congrats!
Hi John, long time no see! Literally - fantastic! Which is not the case with all your pictures I've seen so far, they are very realistic! This one I would certainly categorize as abstract if it was mine! Belated Happy New Year! PDE
Remember Isadora Duncan .. ? Not my usual work : taken yesterday of one of Francois Beneviste's ( http://photo.net/photodb/user?user_id=4104804 ) muses while visiting his studio .. his model, lighting (to which my flash is added), studio set up, everything by fb .. the resulting mess is mine.
John, NIce abstract. I particularly like the lighing effect (achieved using both flash and continuous lighting??). Jim Phelps
John, you make your move and you do something diferent. Keep going, i'll be watching you. Best regards!
Nice mess! :)
Fabulous work, John! My admiration!
Thank you all .. Allan, well it's really another style that I admire greatly but that I don't really have the patience to pursue myself and get to know better.
Yes Jim, I rarely separate from my flash, but I think that mine set off his lights too ...
Very good!!! Fantasy, originality...!!! Ciao Carlo
I am delighted with the response that this picture has received. I am just a litle perplexed though over Pierre's comment regarding "realism". Is a nude only acceptable if abstract.? If anything, this is more revealing than much of my other work and, realism is definitely what I am usually after, not the plasticity that characterizes much of the glamour work that we see. Thank you for each expressing your points of view however, including Pierre of course.
Thank you showing the pure aesthetic and sculptural quality of the human body. Compliments!
Photo of the week! Amazing and spectacular shot and processing.
Wonderful! John! THis is so fresh and new for you! Love it! Love the post! Nice to see you stretching! ;-0
Very interesting effect. Made a very good composition out of the ordinary pose!
It's nice to see a temporary departure from your normal style. Maybe you should work at developing more of the patience you say that you don't have to experiment more in this arena?! I love the artistic value this image portrays. Best, Michael
Excellent.... a work of photographic art. Very different, very avant garde, very un-JOHN PERI!!! That's okay! You've ended up with a fantastic result. I think it is very interesting and well executed.
Great image !
John- I was looking through your portfolio and came across this beautiful image. A big departure from your "normal" work, but it really speaks to me. The sureal quality, the magnificent pose and lighting make this a pleasure to view. There is a lot going on here, and I enjoy it very much.
I love it when artists combine their skill sets and create something new. This is a very magical image.
