carlwakefield 0 Posted January 19, 2010 You have a very good DOF the nice sharp shot of this young ladies face and good eye contact. The background looks good which is very important in a portrait and the exsposure is also spot on. The problem I have is you have a perfect shot of the face in shadow and that len lacks sparkle and form. This makes the face flat and without real form. The light is good from above and behind as its not making her squint the highlights are very posative and worth having. The perfect solution here would have to been to have some reflected light into her face, someone holding a reflector and directing some light back into her face, or second best some fill flash. Also turn your camera in the portrait direction a few times. Looking at your portfolio you have shot all in landscape direction. Kind Regards Carl Link to comment
wimputs 1 Posted January 19, 2010 Thanks Carl, much appreciate. You right about the portrait direction. I must use it more. Didn't think about at that time. The face is indeed to flat. I had only very few time to make this. And there were a lot of people. I have not much experience in fill flash. But I will work on that. Again thanks. Link to comment
