All this series is certainly great captures Birte.....I think of my own children, now grown....we did not have a lot, but we were wealthy by these standards. (In my 'first life')....there were times when we did not have enough money for milk or bread...so collecting pop and beer bottles was not beyond our pride.

 

These things enabled me to stay home until my youngest was 4.....but they always had food to eat...a bath at night and cloth diapers....disposables we could not afford. But I did not mind, for I was blessed with a roof over our heads, and a love for my children that goes beyond explanation. I see these images, and I do not have enough tears. And tears will not answer their dilema.....I type this on a new laptop my husband bought me for Christmas which has been very handy...but did I truly need it?

 

Just think of what we spend on paper, ink, Photo Mag's, and all our other accessories....my shame and remorse will not help Shadipur....but a few changes in my budgeting will. Perhaps they are not 'Children of a Lesser God' but of a more 'Uncaring Mankind'. thank you once again for this 'reality check'....Gail
