Trevor II

Trevor is an art student and long time friend... this was taken in

the corner of a hall space in an old building where his studio space

is located... about a hundred years worth of paint is being

stripped/sanded, this added a very interesting environment/texture for

a portrait.

A refreshing portrait IMO - I like the grainy processing - it has a real authenticity or grittiness to it - great shot!

I really think that compositionally this is absolutely wonderful. The whole photograph is really texturized. Great job!

On the flip side - I wonder what more vibrant color could do for this image? You mention peeling paint...perhaps there are really interesting colors throughout the wall that might pop? Also - the subject is rather neutral - perhaps straight black and white or vibrant color might look nice with this photograph as well!

This has got to be my favorite portait in this series.  It reminds me of the talent that is out there in the world...undiscovered talented artist, the Starving Artist.  This is a depiction of the straving artist
