daveinwilton 0 Posted January 14, 2010 First Order Fensel Lens with a modern (Circa 1960s) bulb. Thank you in advance for your time. -Dave Link to comment
cphilpott 0 Posted February 5, 2010 Well done, knowing the lens is much older then the lamp, did you take any photos that do not show the contemporary lamp? The lines and lighting is very well presented. Years ago I climbed the Point Arena light, then it was closed for many years, it seems to me, to visitors. Great Job. Link to comment
daveinwilton 0 Posted February 7, 2010 The lens has been disassembled from its mount lately. The Coast Guard and some other powers that be, had an issue with the 5+ gallons of mercury the lens was floating in. Unfortunately the old three wick oil/kerosine lamp is displayed today separately from the lens, with its clock-work mechanism. -Dave Link to comment

steveshinn 0 Posted February 11, 2010 Very interesting image being able to see the bulb. I still like the whole shot a bit better. Few people get to see and appreciate these wonders. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
daveinwilton 0 Posted February 12, 2010 Next year I will be back, and the next lighthouse up the coast (Point Cabrillo) is supposed to have a functioning Fresnel of British make. The British glass is supposed to have a rose color. Ought to be interesting. -Dave Link to comment
