I tried to position myself between the three wind turbines and the sun for

this shot as the direct sunlight was really bright, it looks warm but it

showed -5C on the car Temp Gauge, the snow was about 2ft deep in

places and of course I found all of those deep places with my feet!,

when I eventually got back to the car I found my jeans had actually

frozen above my wellies, and there was me thinking my legs were stiff

from walking : - ) Your Thoughts and comments are always appreciated!

Unusual pov, this is well executed and interesting to look at, the depth and hint of wind blades in the bg are well placed. I like this very much and am happy that your legs didn’t freeze! ;)

Warm regards, Pamela

Quite a haunting image, I like the solid silhouette of the turbines against the blue and yellow of the sky and then the shadow opening out along the snow. Great composition.

Good to hear from you, I hope you are keeping well, I'm really pleased you like it. The frozen jeans were a small price to pay!. Well you've heard of "Writers Cramp" and "Tennis Elbow" I think I've discovered another phononemon "Photographers Kneecap" similar to the other type of occupational knee injury "Chronic marital proposal syndrome"

: - ) thankfully I don't suffer from the latter!

Many thanks for your interest and comments.

Many Thanks John, these wind turbines really are quite imposing not to say intimidating when you get right up close to them. some people see them as an eyesore, personally I think I'd rather see a few of these than another nuclear power plant!

Hopefully our paths will cross one day John as we seem to frequent the same area's.

Sincere Thanks and Warm Regards To All

Alf, this image makes me feel as if I'm there, or I want to be. Wonderful impact with the light and drama of the composition.

Alf....amazing colors and tones, wonderful POV,,,,,,,,,,I didn't realize you get that much snow....Thankfully you didn't end up 'frozen'...but the effort was well worth it...you must feel very pleased with this image. (can't give 7.s at moment.....but know my 6's are deformed 7's)

Great idea for a shot and well executed, really worth all your trouble. As they say ..you don't get the best shots out of the car window....Regards

Astounding, Alf. What staggering color and detail. The sky is so blue it's blinding and almost hurts the eyes, and you can almost feel, hear, smell and taste the snow.

A Photo of the Week contender, no doubt.

HA! I was wondering about the knees…….of course for me I am not sure what other occupational injury to relate it to…since I have never proposed to anyone! You do make me laugh my friend! I can’t wait for your monthly photo submission….should you accept the challenge…………and I think you should!

All the best, Pamela ;)
