'This Photo (and Photographer) are commandeered by the Ersatz Street

Photography Victims Liberation Front. A List of Demands will be

announcing street photography victims' rights by rating this photograph

and letting us hear your unanimous comments about this photo as we

protect all our rights from snooping street photographers. Peace for

Alpha Zed, Supreme Commandante of the Ersatz Street Photography Victims Liberation Front (ESPVLF) has told me that I can write to my fans to let them know I am alive and well somewhere in Eastern Europe and that they are treating me OK.

 

I am well fed.

 

He says I need to lose a few kilos, and these guys may put me on an 'enforced diet' until their demands are met.

 

I heard them talking about gathering Leicas and something about summitars, summiluxes, Elmarits, and Summicrons, for a sort of 'Ersatz' ransom.

 

In my defense, I have told the Supreme Commandante that I took this photograph on reflex, as it has been a long time since I've had a giant gun pointed at me point blank, and one of those times the gun went off, the bullet hit me, and I almost lost my leg after weeks of hospitalization - and as a result lost my chance to graduate from university that year, causing two more years of study to graduate, changing my life forever.

 

He doesn't seem sympathetic, because I also told him I had a 'street photography camera' with me at the time (but no film in it).

Front Supreme Commandante has let me tell you that besides their complaints about being 'street photography victims', these guys are 'real nice folks'.

I have no idea what this photo or your discussion is about. Never heard of these people. Looks to me like a Hamas terrorist (with mask) in a subway station with a photo album.
