This is a very elegant image: I like the way that the reflected sky gives such a spare, high-key background for the subjects of interest. As well, the near-monochrome coloring works well. Herons are a favorite subject of both Japanese and Chinese brush painting, and this image is a good reminder of why. One suggestion is to crop the left 20% of the frame. As featureless space, it's not really contributing anything other than framing, and the actual subject (heron, reflection and trailing ripple) suggests to me more of a square format. Link to comment
