yanzhang 1 Posted January 12, 2010 It was the early morning of the first day of 2010. I came to Maroubra - a well-known eastern suburb of Sydney. I saw this man stood alone at the edge of cliff, the word "solitude" then just came to my head. Thanks for viewing this picture. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 12, 2010 Yan... Not only solitude but also a capture of the power of the ocean waves. A tangible feeling of movement and marvelous depth. An excellent image... Mike Link to comment
yanzhang 1 Posted January 14, 2010 Hi Michael, Pawel and Grazyna, Thanks very much for your comments. Yes, it was not only a feeling of solitude, it also presented the power of ocean. It was by chance the person came to the point while I was taking pictures of the cliff and wave. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted January 17, 2010 Thanks for your comment on my 'Golden Rapids' image. It brought me to your fantastic portfolio. I singled this image out because I thought you'd want to check your horizon....it drops down on the right. And a couple of your other recent posts do the same thing. You are an extremely talented and accomplished photographer, so I hope you don't mind me calling these things to your attention. As for the composition.....having that lone figure in the image gives a visceral sense of being there.....it's a very strong image. Congratulations! Link to comment
pfranklin 0 Posted January 18, 2010 Excellent! Including the person was a perfect choice. I like this and bet it was breathtaking when standing there in person. Compliments Best regards, Pamela Link to comment
