Thank you all for the kind comments! This was the first time that I had seriously taken photos from a helicopter. Unfortunately, the 6 passengers were seated by weight. My daughter was up front, next to the pilot, with the best view. I was in the right rear seat and had a difficult time maneuvering the camera due to cramped space and reflections from the back of the front passenger. I decided to use the 18-200mm zoom with a polarizer because of it's versatility. But, with this cloud cover the lens was too slow and I missed some good shots because of the helicopter motion. When we began the flight it was totally clear. But as we flew around the west side of the island and headed over the Kalalau Lookout and down the valley the clouds moved in quickly and obscured most of the majesty of the Napali coast. Next time I will hire the helicopter for photography and be able to direct the pilot to where I want to go.

This one came out pretty good Richard! When I was viewing the smaller preview, I reached up to wipe my monitor screen where the helicopter is, not knowing. Most may think it's a speck, also not knowing. Really nice vantage!!

Thank you Mark and Chris! I didn't notice the other helicopter right away either. I shot about 275 frames on this flight and learned what to do the next time around.

Have a good night!

Dick
