Nice shot Tm J, really show off the trout in death grip, can you crop any tighter? BTW, did they stock the lake @ ED? I was there on Tuesday waiting :)

Hi SNN, Always nice to hear from you. I think they must have recently stock the lake since the Ospreys are feeding again (I missed a shot this morning). This one is my very first feeding cormorant ...ever. Not very good but I can crop closer for sure since this one is about 30-35% crop and I think I can crop to 25% with no problem. I shoot practically daily on my lunch time and I take my lunch any time from 7 to 11AM (for 1 hour) :-)

 

Tough to shoot bird with a 400mm (since it's so marginal) and a fullframe sensor. I am thinking of a 500mm (like yours) and 1.4X

thank you Tm J, I will come to ED today. Regarding the 500, you shouldn't wait to get it. The only regret that I had about that lens is I didn't get it earlier :) :)
