chrisvest 1 Posted January 5, 2010 great capture: alluring in expression and tactile in detail. the deliberate effort to chill the colors mixes wonderfully with the palpable wit and warmth of the model. knowing and strong, sexy and sad. a very artful portrait. Link to comment
fpessolano 0 Posted January 5, 2010 Starting from the negative points, I am not sure about the softening on the bottom left corner. It is needed, but it came out not so nice.Apart from this, I like it. The tones match very well the mood of the expression. The face is very 3D and very natural (maybe a touch too much sharpening for a female portrait). Link to comment
gsphotoguy 2 Posted January 5, 2010 A terrific self-portrait, Tiffany. They are so hard to do well and this is a good one. I like your lighting and the expression you captured. The muted colors add nicely to the mood. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted January 5, 2010 Bob...thank you! I appreciate your visit R.Christopher...a definite compliment from an artist who I consider extremely sensitive and connected to all that is not obvious Francisco...thank you for your comments. I would agree that the softening looks a bit odd here (there is very often a surprise when I view my work on PN)...funny you think it is so sharp. I show my age a lot more in the original...quite a bit of PS here (>8 Mark...thank you! I can't take complete credit here. I set it up and did all the editing, but my brave husband fired the actual shot...nonetheless, thank you again. Link to comment
alfbailey 1 Posted January 7, 2010 Portraits are not my strong point, but having said that I know what I like, and I have to say, it's the eye contact that does it for me in this image, full of character and with a barely suppresed impishness. I like it. Kind Regards Alf Link to comment
