ldavidson 4 Posted January 3, 2010 Thanks for visiting. Don and I drive through the Rocky Mountains a few times every year. The mountains are always breathtaking but I think the winter is the most spectacular, especially when the weather is good. This year we had sunshine and clear blue skies both ways. The trees were covered with icing sugar and whipped cream snow. My little images don't do the scenery justice. If anyone is thinking of coming to Vancouver for the Olympics you should think about coming by way of Calgary and drive through the mountains. Warm wishes, Linda Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted January 6, 2010 The enemy of Sarah Palin types --- awe-inspiring. The blue is spectacular as it merges with the snow. The trees look doused in icing. I can't even imagine what animals are around, how the air smells. Your nature shots move me. Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted January 7, 2010 Gail, thank you! Donna, there were all sorts of animals around. I could see their footprints in the snow, large and small. Kathy, thanks. Everyone should see these mountains once in their lifetime. Best wishes! Link to comment
