"Hawk's Capture..."

The capture happened in a second and then he waits for the Quaker

parrot to die. It was hard to watch as I own a little Quaker parrot

as a pet.

This is way awesome! I love the protective hunched posture of the hawk. I am guessing a juvenile 1st year Cooper's hawk from his markings. I know it breaks our hearts to see another animal 'get it' like this, but the hawk is doing his/her job too. Just a fabulous capture, my friend! Cheers! Chris
