Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 1, 2010 When I took this picture (early 2003), I did not have Photoshop, andso reworking this picture was simply not possible, since perspectivecorrection was required. There might still be some strange lines andangles. Please let me have your opinions and suggestions. Almost sevenyears later, this particular shot of this house is finally beingposted to the web. Please see this same folder for other angles onthis house, as well as the color version of this shot.--Lannie Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted January 5, 2010 I think this B & W version works really well, I'm not a great fan of perspective correction, although there are times when it is a neccesity, in this image though I think the odd lines and distortion add to the character of this lovely old building and I wouldn't change it! Very Nice Work! Regards Alf Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 6, 2010 Thanks, Alf. I shot this as wide as I could go and had little choice but to use it. Nonetheless, the original was not as terrible as I remembered without perspective correction. Here it is. --Lannie Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted January 14, 2010 Thank You! For showing the original, and your right it ain't that bad at all, sometimes we are our own worst critics, and what we precieve in our own images as bad, hardly get noticed by others, or even if they do, some faults don't detract from the overall appearance, like this one. Kind Regards Alf Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 14, 2010 Thanks, Alf. I guess when I saw the original full-sized, the right end seemed to be lifting off the ground. Not sure my "correction" was an improvement. I also don't really care for the aircraft vapor trails, but they do give a sense of contrast between old and new, I suppose. Esthetically, they do nothing for me. --Lannie Link to comment
