Once every 19 years, the month of December has two full moon within

the same month, the second one being on New Year's Eve. This is

known as the 'Blue Moon' and hence the well known English phrase.

This is a photo of that Blue Moon which I took this evening.

This would make a great moon stock shot.

 

However I think there is too much negative space to the left of the moon. A tighter crop and maybe a vertical crop rather than a horizontal one would add some more interest to the image.

Thank you very much Scott. This is a completely different perspective that you have shown to me. Having said that, the moon seems to have turned on its axis which I am sure would be noticed by the keen eyes. I do appreciate your input and the next moon shot which I took about 2 hours later will be given this treatment.
