cromwell1664877587 0 Posted December 31, 2009 Winston had a great time playing in his first snow. Link to comment
bobhelveyphotography 0 Posted January 1, 2010 You captured the personality of the dog as well as movement. It almost looks like a trick shot although you probably were shooting on continuous. And the exposure was tricky (white dog in snow). In other words you did a good job.The only thing missing is a little catch-light which could have been captured with fill flash. Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted January 2, 2010 Thanks everyone. Bob, yes I was shooting on a continuous 8 fps as he was running very fast towards me. He does have a somewhat different running stroke than most labs, but it seems to work quite well for him. Of course, he's still all puppy(11 months old), so it may change a little. I agree a little catch-light would have improved it, but it was overcast skies and a flash wouldn't have been feasible shooting at that high a rate of frames and distance. The sun came out 30 minutes later and I almost went back to shoot again, but figured the snow would just be blown out, so I didn't. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted January 2, 2010 Attack dog? :-) Very cute shot! I love the snow in the brown background....no doubt being thrown by him as he barrels through the snow. Nice work! Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted January 4, 2010 Incredible capture, Scott. He's airborne and loving it. He's so fast, I don't even see any paw tracks! Well done. Link to comment
jrickert 2 Posted January 4, 2010 Great capture. I love the way his body is white with the white snow under him, and then his ears are darker with the brown background. He looks so funny with all 4 paws in the air. I bet he had a lot of fun. Please look at my "Fred sneaks up on Jett" photo. http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=9803056. You did a much better job than I did. Link to comment
