gk4n6guy 0 Posted December 30, 2009 I like this image. The title is very important here, and I would prefer to see a tighter crop (lose some of the empty space camera left), and dial down the aperture so the focus is sharp on the audience and beginning to blur the foreground slightly while leaving the entertainer identifiable. blockphoto 0 Posted December 31, 2009 The interplay between the three people, the instrument, and the amp is quite amusing, and the picture definitely provides enough content and tension to keep me interested for a while. If this picture is going to be about the audience, though (and they do have interesting expressions/body language), they need to be in more focus than the performer, or emphasized compositionally...the performer and his amp are definitely the first thing I look at because they are sharp and well placed within the frame and interesting graphic forms, whereas the audience is slightly out of focus and in the background. The audience/background also isn't as well composed (the angle is awkward, the verticals and horizontals aren't straight, they're just a bit too close to the performer to separate them optimally). Maybe a lower angle would have been more effective too given that they're seated lower than the performer. Link to comment

gardena 0 Posted January 2, 2010 Yes, indeed! But it did take me a second to connect the title with the charming pair in the background. Regards, Adrienne Link to comment
