...the lighting is too harsh and straight on for me. Try bouncing the flash off the ceiling if possible. That will make for a much softer and warmer feel. Also, her face is in the middle of the photograph. Try putting her head towards the top of the frame so you have much less wasted space up there. I do like the shallow depth of field. Cheers!

I appreciate very much your commentary and critic, it is true what you say with the flash, in the moment when I took the photo, i didn't have a external flash and also didn't reduce the intensity of the flash.

 

With respect to the position, that go apparent in opposition with the golden crop, belong to the composition, behind it is a Christmas tree that share with the eyes of Laura the titel "Light of life" that was the reason, because I gave more space to the Christmas tree. Cheers!

I like the expression and moment too - not much you can do without an external flash for sure.

very nicely done. You make the girl smile and I presume she makes you happy as a photographer. Unfortunately the standards for portrait images seems to be very high and i was still surprised to see two individuals give this the lowest possible score.

She is truly lovely and you did a fine job of capturing the light and joy in her face.  She reflects the joyful atmosphere around her.  I love how you captured the shine in her hair Ricardo.  Beautifully done.  Sincerely, Gail
