PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 1, 2010 A beautiful star trail shot. The exposure is just right, you achieved an interesting daylike appearance using the moonlight. I guess you made some research beforehand to get the center of rotation in the frame. Pity that you did not shoot closer to the rock, I feel it would be better if it were more dominant in the picture. How long was the exposure - around 1.5 hours ? Link to comment
diegobuono 3 Posted January 11, 2010 Thank you Peter for your interest in the picture, the exposure has been 2 hours long. Unfortunatly I have not had the opportunity to get closer to the rock because during the night the area is closed. I shot the picture from the point where they organize an "under the star dinner". Before I left Italy I learned how to spot the south in the southern emisphere, I was not totally sure but fortunatly I individuated it correctly. Thank you for visiting, if you are interested in this kind of pictures I have a couple in the folder "star trail". Link to comment
