GerrySiegel 868 Posted December 26, 2009 First reaction is that the S curve is powerful in photos to capture the eye and give a power and depth to this cool scene, Tony. Although the reflection of the moon is the source I might say try cropping most of the moon out on top- you would have to try a couple ways- and just leave a litlle suggestion of the moon as the source but not too much. That way, the S curve, the bright reflection and the cobbled embankment of would be your centerpied subject and I think it would work even better. Meaning draw more eye attention. I like the color contrasts and the subtleties of the scene in color.. Some nice elements you saw. I hope this is a little bit constructive...I wish you well, gs Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted December 28, 2009 Hello, Tony. I had a second look today to see if I would still do a little crop on top....that is a personal thing, but not always a throwaway comment for me.., If you catch what I am saying.. I enjoy the mood of this picture. I had in mind a little increased mood of mystery and atmosphere... Here is what I had in mind...But lastly, I compliment you again on a good eye for the bold contrasts on a dim cold night. Link to comment
