Hernest,

She is a pretty girl. Her skin tone is very good. The background is somewhat out of focus which helps to focus attention on the girl. The lighting looks good. You have used shadows well to help create the illusion of depth within the photograph. I do like the specular highlights on her lips. She has good eye contact with the camera (viewer).

Her expression isn't really conveying a message to the viewer. She looks a little bored. You need to focus on her eyes. They are not in very good focus. You do not want to be pointing your camera up at the girl. Her face should appear at about the viewer's eye level. You don't want viewers to be looking up her nose.

Her make-up looks quite well applied, but watch out for the dark circles under her eyes. She also has no catch lights to give her eyes life.

Even though the background is somewhat out of focus, it is very busy. The red speakers and the orange guitar really draw attention away from the girl.

Do not pose your subject straight on to the camera. This is not a very feminine pose. Showing your subject’s widest areas (shoulder to shoulder or hip to hip) makes those areas appear wide. Your subject will appear thinner, more feminine and more graceful if turned at an angle to the camera. The lines you see from an angle have more apparent motion, interest and grace. You do not want to have your subject turned 90 degrees to the camera. This makes the head look unsupported. It usually looks best to angle your subject somewhere around 45 degrees.

The left and right compositional balance of her face within the photograph is very good. She is looking into the picture, not out of it. There is more room in front of her than behind, but you have included all of her body in the picture. You must take this into account when balancing your composition. So much of her body is on the left side of the picture that she should be moved to her left a bit to better balance the photograph.

Even on a girl with a nice trim body you have to be careful. Her left underarm is drooping a bit. Notice the top of her stockings. Her legs are bulging because of the tight stocking tops -- there is no bulging of the skin at any pantie line. Perhaps her stockings are just tight so they can stay up on her legs. This may not be a pose that you can use with these stockings on her. It is not alway easy to emphasize the best of a girl and try to eliminate anything you don't want to show -- but it is necessary.

Avoid having the back of the hand towards the camera. The edge (side) of the hand towards the camera is thinning, feminine and graceful -- just like turning the body at an angle to the camera. She is just too close to the top and the bottom of the frame. She needs some breathing room.

It is generally best not to shoot bare armpits or crotches. Either can look rather tacky.

Be careful of split profiles. You do not want the tip of her nose to come close to touching the far cheek line. You want to make sure the far eye is either completely showing or not showing at all. You do not want to have the bridge of her nose cut her far eye.

Nice shot,

Mark
